Family Programs

  • $16.00  -  Nonmember & Individual/Dual Member - Family Ticket
  • $10.00  -  Family members & above - Family ticket

Children of all abilities can explore artistic materials, make friends, and enjoy being creative together in this inclusive program. Led by an art educator and an occupational therapist, this new program is designed for preschool and early elementary children, but all are welcome.

April’s program is inspired by landscape paintings of Montclair artist George Inness and the changing spring weather. Using paint droppers and pipettes with watercolor paint, and straws to blow ink, participants will create seasonal landscapes of tall trees while exploring the sensory properties of paint and developing fine motor skills such as pincer grasp. A librarian from Montclair Public Library will lead story time with books related to the theme of changing seasons.

CREATEabilities is part of MAM’s commitment to making our galleries and programs accessible to all our visitors, including those with special needs.  Contact kbowen@montclairartmuseum.org with questions or for more information.
