Family Programs

createabilitiesCome explore artistic materials, make new friends, and enjoy creating together at CREATEabilities – MAM’s inclusive program for families with young children and parents looking for a fun social outing.

Activities may include sensory exploration, creative movement, story time, and a visit in the galleries. Led by an art educator and an occupational therapist, CREATEabilities is designed for early learners with all abilities, but all ages are welcome.

October’s CREATEabilities program takes inspiration from Virgil Ortiz’s imaginary heroes in the exhibition Virgil Ortiz: Odyssey of the Venutian Soldiers.

Children will create imaginary heroes and design costumes elements while exploring the sensory properties of art materials and strengthen fine motor skills through composition and construction.

A librarian from Montclair Public Library will lead story time with books about superheroes.
